Accessibility Statement
We want everyone who visits the Waypoint Credit Union website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding.
What We Are Doing
We have implemented the recommendations of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as published by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and more usable for everyone.
The guidelines have three levels of accessibility: A, AA and AAA. We have chosen Level AA as the target for the Waypoint Credit Union website.
How We Are Doing
There is no definitive test or certification of conformance to Level AA of the WCAG, so we use a variety of methods to assess accessibility. We monitor the website regularly and we work to make every page accessible, but we cannot guarantee that every page meets Level AA.
If you find a part of the site that you feel does not conform to Level AA of the WCAG, please tell us.
Why We Use WCAG
We use the WCAG guidelines as suggested by the Department of Justice. Some of what WCAG covers overlaps with Section 508, but we are not Section 508 compliant.
We chose WCAG because the guidelines are set by the W3C, the consortium that sets guidelines for the internet worldwide.
