Community Involvement
Waypoint Credit Union shows up for Connecticut through scholarships for graduating seniors, a member foundation, and staff who volunteer their own time across the state.
Scholarships
Each year, Scient Credit Union Foundation, Inc. awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are Waypoint members. Applicants need a 3.0 GPA or higher, plans to attend a two-year college, four-year college, university, or vocational school, and a record of leadership at school or in their community.
Four Annual Scholarships
Four $2,000 scholarships are awarded to Waypoint member seniors every year.
One Memorial Scholarship
The Curtis Stancil, Jr. Memorial Scholarship awards $2,000 to one Greater New Haven-area member.
Applications Open Seasonally

Our Foundation
Scient Credit Union Foundation, Inc. is the charitable arm behind Waypoint’s community giving, supporting food security drives, homelessness prevention, blood drives, and seasonal giving programs across Connecticut. Donations to the foundation are tax-deductible.
Employees Give Their Time
Waypoint staff volunteer with more than 20 organizations across the state, including United Way, Habitat for Humanity, and local Rotary clubs, plus food pantries, blood drives, and American Heart Association events.
